Process Improvement Specialist
Payrate: $40 to $45
Serves as a consultant to a business or organization, evaluating, planning and implementing improvements in business processes and practices. Other aspects of the job can include team building and group facilitation, compiling and tracking data and preparing training materials. Works directly with operational management and diverse project teams to train, deploy, institutionalize and improve organizationally standard processes.
Serves as an advisor and is responsible for providing technical direction to project teams and project managers in the adoption of organizational standard project lifecycle processes.
Trains and mentors project teams on project management, software/systems technical activities such as software project management, planning, configuration management and measurement and analysis.
Ensures institutionalization and optimization of new best practices and continuous process improvement.
Evaluates existing processes to identify improvements and develop a plan of actions to address the improvements.
Monitors and audits organizational process compliance against the organizations project lifecycle standards.
Periodically evaluates the organization's compliance.
Leads the Operations Excellence function within Supply Chain and supports the work of others using a wide degree of creativity and judgment.
Keeps informed of key performance indicators across the site, product line, and acts accordingly to promote improvement.
Contributes timely and relevant feedback to the team in a manner which leads them to action.
Provides meaningful data to ensure problem identifications, root cause analysis, proper continuous improvement projects, and process/ product verifications.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Associates degree in Office Administration, Business or other related field
Exceptionally strong communication and facilitation skills
Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of a particular field of specialization to complete complex assignments
Ability to make recommendations and independent decisions
Ability to multi-task various critical work assignments in a fast paced environment in a professional manner
High level of accuracy of work and attention to detail, to include the ability to perform precise mathematical calculations
Demonstrates expertise in Continuous Improvement Methodologies such as Lean/ Six Sigma and effectively consults with and advises leaders, managers and employees
Understands the direct influence Operations Excellence programs and processes have on employee engagement and the achievement of business objectives
Demonstrated experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma Green Belt or TQM.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail and scheduling
